That's exactly what she did. She certainly wasn't invited. How she gathered the courage to walk into that Pharisee house uninvited was a testimony to end-of-rope hope -a testimony to Jesus. Her tears splashed all over His feet. The tension in that room was intense as everyone held their breath. She fell at His feet, wiped her tears with the hair of her head, and then opened a small vial of perfume. Amazingly, Jesus just sat there. He. Never Flinched.

The Pharisees flinched. They flinched all over the room. And mumbled, "If this man were a prophet [mumble-mumble], He would know what kind of woman this is, that she is a sinner." Jesus did know. He knew her story, and He knew her past. He also knew her heart. He didn't minimize sin ~He never did and never does. Instead, He washes it.

The messy people who came to Jesus… They came broken. They came wounded. They came desperate. And… He welcomed them. He still does.
